While most eyes were on Thabazimbi yesterday, there were six other by-elections. The IFP had a very good hold in Mtubatuba, while the ANC and the DA swapped seats in two other by-elections. The Patriotic Alliance retained a seat in Oudtshoorn while the ANC was dominant in the Eastern Cape.
