Damaging wind, excessive lighting, hail and heavy downpours are expected over the western parts of KZN from 2pm on Tuesday, the South African Weather Service (SAWS) said while issuing a level two thunderstorm warning.
The storm is expected to spread to the northern parts of the province on Wednesday.
The weather office said some of these thunderstorms may become severe and be accompanied by damaging winds, excessive lightning, hail and heavy downpours which may lead to localized flooding resulting in localised impacts.
