The premier faces a charge of unprofessional conduct before the HPCSA which she allegedly committed when she was still the MEC of Health in the province.
Ramathuba was recorded in a video confronting a Zimbabwean patient in the Bela Bela hospital ward about her immigration status.
The video, which was circulated on social media, caused public discourse, with many asking if her contact information was appropriate for a health professional.
However, the ANC in Limpopo has pledged its support for Ramathuba against the HPCSA.
“We just think that council (HPCSA) is now entering political space,” said ANC provincial secretary Reuben Madadzhe.
“We don’t see anything wrong with regard to that. I mean, what is wrong for me to say, if you are a state like Zimbabwe, you must take care of your people?”
