Food safety | Children are traumatized after food poisoning

FLOWER FOUNTAIN – There are increasing calls to close spaza shops due to the deaths of children from food poisoning.

The Free State has joined Gauteng in banning the sale of food and snacks inside and outside school buildings.

It comes after more than 100 cases of food poisoning were reported at three schools in the province.

Students from Ihobe primary school in Bloemfontein are traumatized by the incident

A total of 21 children were taken to Pelonomi Hospital with suspected food poisoning.

One mother says her daughter is still scared.
