Established in 2021 by CEO Medupi Molotsi, the Free State Gospel Music Awards (Freegosma) have been celebrating gospel music excellence for four years. Inspired by the Mpumalanga Gospel Music Awards, Molotsi founded Freegosma to uplift the Free State province by recognizing and rewarding talented gospel artists. Past keynote speakers include Zanele Mbokazi, Ayanda Ncwane, and Thabang Mnisi. The 2024 ceremony will be held on November 2 at Bloemfontein City Hall. Nominations are open until July 26, 2024, with announcements on August 3, 2024. A live recording DVD, “Free State Praise and Worship Explosion,” is also planned.
