NORTH WEST – Police say 834 miners have surfaced from abandoned mine shafts in Orkney in the North West.
They were arrested after Operation Vala Mgodi stopped food supplies, forcing them to come out.

The army and police are still keeping an eye on the abandoned mine shaft’s entrances and exits.
Scores of them are expected to appear before the Stilfontein Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
