CAPE TOWN – The Bishop Lavis community policing forum (CPF) said residents in the area are still traumatised by the recent mass killing.
Last week, six people were shot and killed in a shooting incident in Kogelberg Road.
A seventh victim died in hospital, while one survivor remains in a critical condition.

The CPF chairperson, Graham Lindhorst, said while people won’t flee their homes, they need assurance from authorities and community leaders that they are safe.
He said trust between police and residents remains a challenge.
“If you speak out, we can stop it because we need to become preventative. We cannot be reactional all the time.”
