Crime in SA | Gauteng’s cars ‘gone in 60 seconds’

JOHANNESBURG – If you’re in Gauteng you might want to double-check those locks, rethink parking spots, and keep an eye on those mirrors.

The latest vehicle crime stats are out, and the outlook is troubling.

Tracker’s latest Vehicle Crime Index shows vehicle thieves method of choice is still hijacking.

The stats also reveal that Gauteng is where 58 percent of nationwide vehicle crimes are committed.
