Justice for Amantle | Soweto residents call for no bail and maximum sentence

SOWETO – The 24-year-old Mozambican national charged with the rape and murder of 6-year-old Amantle Samane is set to appear in the Protea magistrate’s court.

The girl was found murdered inside the accused’s shack in Orlando East, on Monday.

This incident sparked immediate outrage in the community, with residents mobilising to search for the suspect themselves.

Law enforcement arrested him on Wednesday night.
