Basic education reports successful first day of Matric exams

PRETORIA – Over 1-million pupils began writing their matric exams on Monday.

Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube paid a visit to pupils in Soshanguve, ahead of their first exam. She advised them to keep calm and do their best.

The department says the first day of exams went on without any disruptions.  The pupils are expcted to their writing end of November.
