JOHANNESBURG – A senior manager of the Mangaung Metro has been shot dead in a municipal office.
Police say the man, whose name has not yet been officially released, was shot in his car as he drove out of the office park.
The 48-year-old victim was a senior manager responsible for water and infrastructure.
Free State police say an unknown gunman fired four shots into the driver’s side of the car.
The deceased manager’s colleague survived the shooting without injuries.
The police investigate a murder case.
They have urged anyone with information that could help to contact police.
