The Free State Music Association invites local composers and musicians to participate in this year’s Free State International Music Conference, which will take place in Bloemfontein.
The three-day conference aims to bring together composers and DJs to unlock insights from the music industry. There will be professional speakers from across African countries and the rest of the world.
“The music conference aims to obtain information through panel discussions and organizing exhibitions of well-known music collectives such as SAMRO, IMPRA, CAPASSO and established record companies,” the association said.
Topics covered during the conference:
- The role of collecting societies and intellectual property
- International festivals and conferences
- Radio, TV and digital marketing
- Music contracts and record company activities
Scholarships (2) are also awarded to a registered sound engineer or DJ who wishes to study sound engineering.
