Former chairperson of the Economic Freedom Fighters in Limpopo Tshilidzi Maraga says she decided to resign from the EFF to join the Umkhonto we Sizwe party after realising she was no longer wanted in the organization
Maraga says the leadership of the EFF decided to remove her as the provincial chairperson on the basis of underperformance before the next elective provincial conference, although she had not underperformed.
She says before the May general elections, the EFF in the province had 7 Members of Provincial Legislature and after the elections they had 9 MPLs.
She says the current provincial chairperson was handpicked and parachuted to the position with only one year in the organization, which is against the organization’s constitution.
