Gauteng Health Department extends condolences after patient allegedly dies by hanging

JOHANNESBURG – The Gauteng Health Department has extended its condolences to the family of a patient at the Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital.   

The 36-year-old was found in one of the hospital bathrooms by two nurses. 

It is alleged that the patient hanged herself with a cellphone charger cable. 

Police are currently investigating the circumstances of her death.
