Weather Alert | N3 remains closed due to icy conditions

HARRISMITH – Although progress has been made, the N3 highway remains closed.

That’s the latest update from Toll Concession COO, Thania Dhoogra.

Due to bad weather, roads are closed in some parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

The stretch between Harrismith in the Free State and Escourt in KZN has been hit by heavy snow.

Dhoogra said: “I am pleased to report that progress is being made, but unfortunately it is rather slow going as dangerous driving conditions continue and bad weather continues to affect large parts of the N3 toll route. Unfortunately, the status quo remains and the N3 is closed… I am doing my part to reach stranded road users and clear the road as quickly and safely as possible.”
