NPA to add more charges to Limpopo couple in R11 million estate fraud case

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is set to add more charges against Tshwane metro police officer Peter ‘Gagash’ Nonyane and his wife, Charlotte Tibana, in connection with an R11 million estate fraud case.

The couple, who lost their bail appeal in the Limpopo High Court last month, returned to the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court alongside two co-accused.

The four already face more than 100 charges collectively, including fraud, theft and money laundering.

Their co-accused were each granted R60,000 bail on 8 October.

Magistrate Mpho Hadebe postponed the matter to next week.

“The postponement for the 13th of November 2026 is for accused numbers 1 and 2. And accused number 4 and 5, the date that you return to court is the 27th of November 2026. This is for the Regional Court date, and both 4 and 5 will be on extended bail.”
