The changes include raising vehicle registration and licence-disc renewal fees, depending on the weight of the vehicle.
In a statement today, the association’s Phakamile Hlubi-Majola noted the recent fuel-price hikes added further financial pressure on motorists.
“Electricity, food, and transport costs have outrun household budgets for most of the year. Misa calls on the MEC of Transport in Gauteng to withhold approval of the proposed fee increases,” said Hlubi-Majola.
