A hot, unsettled day lies ahead for much of South Africa this Saturday. Thundershowers are expected over Gauteng, the Free State and the Northern Cape, while Limpopo and Mpumalanga enjoy clear skies and North West stays partly cloudy. Along the coast it is cooler, with slight rain forecast for Cape Town, Durban and Gqeberha.
Kimberley takes the heat crown at 36°C, and Bloemfontein and Mahikeng sit close behind on 35°C. At the other end of the scale, the Mother City only reaches 18°C under a fresh SSE breeze.
