The wet weather should ease by night, when conditions are expected to be partly cloudy. The temperature will fall to 16°C, with just a 4% chance of rain and a 1% chance of thunderstorms.
Johannesburg
Johannesburg will see a much brighter Wednesday, with intervals of clouds and sunshine and a high of 25°C.
No rainfall is forecast.
Winds will come from the north-northwest at 13km/h, with gusts of up to 32km/h.
Overnight, skies are expected to be mainly clear, with temperatures dropping to 13°C.
Pretoria
Pretoria will be the warmest of the three cities on Wednesday, reaching 27°C under partly sunny skies.
No rainfall is expected.
North-northwesterly winds will reach 13km/h, with gusts of up to 28km/h.
Partly cloudy conditions are expected overnight, with the temperature falling to 15°C.
