Gauteng is bracing for another day of severe weather, with heavy rain, damaging winds, hail and flooding expected.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has placed the province under an Orange Level 5 warning for severe thunderstorms.
The warning comes after storms already left a trail of damage across parts of Johannesburg, with fallen trees and debris creating hazardous conditions on some roads.
The umbrellas are out across Gauteng, but residents are being warned that this might not be enough to brave the elements.

The Weather Service is warning of widespread showers and thunderstorms, with flooding, strong wind gusts and hail possible across Gauteng.
Johannesburg Emergency Services said its teams will be keeping a close eye on conditions across the city.
Spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said they are ready to respond.
“We remain on high alert throughout this weekend, monitoring all 7 regions of the city for any emergencies which might occur.”
Motorists are being urged to take extra care, particularly on waterlogged roads and in areas where strong winds could bring down trees and power lines.
