Pilchard virus ‘likely’ spread to Eastern Cape, Namibian coast

Dead sardines are washing up along the Eastern Cape and Namibia, a phenomenon authorities say is likely linked to the pilchard herpesvirus thought to have killed masses of sardines on the West Coast.
