Four Randfontein Primary School athletes were selected to represent the Gauteng West District at the Gauteng Provincial Cross Country Championship at Curro Sagewood in Midrand on September 12.
The athletes are Onthatile Letlotlo, who finished fifth in the U11 boys’ category; Phakade Makhatini, who placed sixth in the U11 girls’ category; Regomoditswe Mathuole, who won the U12 boys’ district category; and Vuyo Madyeke, who finished fourth. Teacher Thabo Makhanya has also been selected as general manager of the Gauteng West District Cross Country team.
The school congratulated the athletes and Makhanya and wished them well for the provincial championships.
