Ntshavheni honours late Gauteng MPL Mzikayifane Khumalo’s commitment to public service

Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni has described the late Mzikayifane Khumalo as a dedicated public servant who was committed to improving the lives of South Africans.

Ntshavheni was speaking at Khumalo’s funeral service in Johannesburg on Saturday.

The former Gauteng MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs died in hospital on Monday after a short illness.

President Cyril Ramaphosa granted Khumalo a special provincial official funeral to honour his contribution to government and the people of Gauteng.

At the time of his death, he was a member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature and chairperson of the CoGTA Portfolio Committee.

ANC chief whip in the Gauteng Legislature Lesego Makhubela said Khumalo was a man of integrity who remained committed to the movement.
