The death toll from a crash on the R40 between Barberton and Mbombela in Mpumalanga has risen to four.
A fourth passenger who was injured while also travelling in the minibus taxi which crashed on Friday evening has died in hospital after succumbing to their injuries.

Nine other people were injured when the taxi overturned.
The latest fatality brings to eight the number of people killed on Mpumalanga’s roads in less than 24 hours.
Earlier on Saturday, four people died in a separate crash involving two vehicles on the R577 between Roossenekal and Mashishi.
Community Safety spokesperson Moeti Mmusi said the department is deeply concerned about the two deadly crashes and is urging motorists to exercise extra caution on the roads.
“The Mpumalanga MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Mr Jackie Macie, expressed deep concern about the ongoing road tragedies. ‘We cannot allow road deaths to become so frequent when most of these incidents are avoidable. All that is required is responsible driver behaviour to end this mayhem and make our roads safer. We all need to obey the rules,’ he said. MEC Macie extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wished the injured passenger a speedy recovery.”
