The provincial Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport has opened nominations for the 2026 Cultural Awards.
It calls on the public to nominate individuals or groups in the province who have made a real impact in specific categories between 1 June 2025 and 31 May 2026.
The award categories are: creative excellence; language, literacy and knowledge; heritage, memory and identity; community access and cultural participation; social inclusion and cultural impact; and future culture and legacy.
