Western Cape Community Safety MEC Anroux Marais has condemned the triple murder in the Kanana informal settlement in Gugulethu.
Police said that three armed suspects entered a shack looking for the owner on Saturday night. When she arrived, they opened fire, killing her and another woman, along with a 21-year-old man.
Marais called for the swift arrest of the suspects, urging community members to come forward with any information that could lead to a breakthrough in the case.
“We cannot allow this level of criminality to become the norm in our communities. Those responsible for this heinous crime must be identified.”
