The trial of alleged underworld boss Nafiz Modack and 14 co-accused was delayed again on Monday with a sharp warning from the judge about possible time-wasting.
Proceedings in the Western Cape High Court were postponed on Monday after accused number three, Ziyaad Poole, reportedly fell ill.

Poole, who is alleged to be a key fixer for Modack, was meant to continue with cross-examination in connection with the 2020 attempted murder of attorney William Booth.
Ziyaad Poole was set to be cross-examined by the prosecution on Monday, but proceedings were delayed yet again after he indicated he was suffering from stomach cramps.
Presiding judge Robert Henney raised concerns, warning Poole not to delay the trial unduly.
Henney: “Just remember, don’t lie to me… that’s one of the oldest tricks in the book.”
Henney went on to grant the postponement before referring Poole for treatment at Pollsmoor prison’s hospital section.
The matter is set to proceed on Tuesday.
