The Hawks have issued an urgent appeal for public assistance in tracing four children who vanished without a trace from their home in the Eastern Cape.
The children, who are from the same family, disappeared from their home in Ntabankulu in November 2024.
Investigators said they were last seen playing in the yard before vanishing under suspicious circumstances that continue to baffle officers.
Since the case was taken over by the Hawks, a wide-ranging investigation has been launched, with officers pursuing every possible lead.
More than 18 months on, there is still no sign of seven-year-old Sive Siganga, and four-year-olds Oyintando, Thabile and Thabsile Siganga.
The Hawks said numerous investigative interventions have been carried out, including intelligence-driven operations, inter-provincial follow-ups, community outreach, and the analysis of all information received.
They said the simultaneous disappearance of all four children elevates the case to one of exceptional concern and urgency.
Officers are now calling on South Africans to help amplify the search and urge anyone with information to come forward.
Police have assured the public that all information will be treated with strict confidentiality.
