Cloudy and cold conditions are expected for most of the country, with rain in six provinces, according to the South African Weather Service (SAWS).
Morning fog is expected over parts of Mpumalanga and Limpopo, while the Northern Cape can expect warm conditions in the west.
Impact-based warnings
Yellow Level 1 warning: Damaging winds, resulting in localised problems for high-sided vehicles on prone routes, over parts of the Richterveld, Nama Khoi and Kamiesberg municipalities in the Northern Cape, until Saturday.
In the SAWS’s colour-coded weather warning system, yellow indicates a moderate risk of impact that requires caution and awareness. The SAWS uses numbers to indicate the likelihood of weather-based impacts occurring. Level 1 is medium.
