Police hunt wanted fraud and murder suspects in Western Cape and Limpopo

Police have appealed for public assistance in tracing these wanted suspects who are being sought for serious crimes.

Police in the Western Cape are searching for a man wanted for fraud. 

The provincial police spokesperson, Sergeant Wesley Twigg, said the suspect is wanted by police in Lamberts Bay. 

“Police in Lamberts Bay are seeking the assistance of the public to trace Louis Agrela, 63, who is wanted for fraud which was committed between October 2018 and August 2023. A warrant for his immediate arrest was issued by the Clanwilliam Magistrate’s Court,” Twigg said. 

Anyone with any information or who knows the whereabouts of the wanted person is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Charlie Bonn at 079 894 1680 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111.

In a separate incident in Limpopo, police are searching for a suspect involved in a brutal killing. 

Mashabela Open Molwantwa, 43, is wanted for a charge of murder and attempted murder following a brutal panga attack in Modimolle Village near Dophale during the early hours of Sunday, May 17, 2026. 

“During the attack, Karabo Mochadi, 43, from Ntsoaneng Village, sustained multiple panga attack wounds to the head and left foot. He was certified dead at the scene.

Two other victims aged 23 and 43 sustained serious injuries during the incident. Both injured victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment,” police said. 

The suspect fled the scene immediately after the attack and is currently being sought by police.
