Police in Limpopo have launched a manhunt following the brutal murder of two tourists in the Kruger National Park.
Officials said the bodies of a man (71) and a woman were discovered near the Levubu and Limpopo river intersection on Friday, after the pair failed to return from the Pafuri picnic site.

Preliminary investigations show both victims suffered multiple stab wounds, while the vehicle they were travelling in is still missing.
Provincial police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba said cases of murder and hijacking have been opened.
“The provincial commissioner of police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has assured the public that maximum resources have been mobilised to ensure that those responsible are traced and brought to justice. The South African Police Service is working closely with Kruger National Park authorities as investigations continue,” said Mashaba.
