It’s official : Sedibeng will host Gauteng Inter-Regional Play-Offs | Sedibeng Ster

The 2025/26 Inter-Regional Play-Offs are scheduled for June across various provinces, with regional winners competing for promotion to the ABC Motsepe League for the 2026/27 season.

Sedibeng will host the Gauteng Inter-Regional Play-Offs scheduled to take place at the Isak Steyl Stadium and NWU Vaal Campus in May/June.

These games aim to determine promotion candidates from the Hollywoodbets Men’s Regional League.

With SAFA Sedibeng chosen as the hosting region, two teams have the chance to be promoted to the ABC Motsepe League for the 2026/27 season.

For now, it is unclear which teams will represent the region in the play-offs, with the SAFA Sedibeng Hollywood Regional League in full swing. As things stand, the four top teams are separated by a single point. It looks like the winner will come from either Boipatong FC, Perfect Academy, Ben 10 FC, or Metro Stars FC. It is difficult to predict who will walk off with the title at the end of the season, looking at the log.

Honoured to be hosts…

SAFA Sedibeng Deputy President Velaphi Motsepe confirmed to Sedibeng Ster Sport that Sedibeng has been tasked with hosting the inter-regional play-offs and that they are honoured to host it.

“We are ready and looking forward to it. I do not doubt that we have the capacity to host the play-offs; it is not the first time we have hosted them. I’m also confident that one or two of our teams will be promoted to the ABC Motsepe League at the end of the play-offs,” Motsepe concluded.
