Gauteng Health to reopen refurbished wards at Kopanong and Sebokeng hospitals on Monday

Gauteng Health MEC Faith Mazibuko will officially reopen three refurbished wards at Kopanong District Hospital and unveil an upgraded male psychiatric ward at Sebokeng Regional Hospital on Monday.

The upgrades include a renovated thirty-bed paediatric ward, a reopened female psychiatric ward and an additional medical ward aimed at easing overcrowding and improving patient care.

Department spokesperson Steve Mabona says the projects form part of broader efforts to create safer, more patient centred healthcare facilities across the province.
 
“The project is aimed at improving patient safety, dignity and therapeutic care while strengthening access to specialised mental healthcare services in the district.”
