JOHANNESBURG – The ANC has inaugurated its new Gauteng Provincial Task Team.
The new team replaces the former Provincial Executive Committee.
It will help stabilise structures and drive preparations for the 2026 Local Government Elections.

Premier Panyaza Lesufi and Mandla Nkomfe will lead the 42-member team.
It’s tasked with auditing branches, improving discipline, and reclaiming lost ground ahead of the polls.
