Western Cape dam levels have declined to 44.8 percent, from 45.9% last week.
The municipality says water consumption is still 110 megalitres above its daily usage target.
Dam levels are also about 18 percent lower than they were at this time last year.

Water and Sanitation MMC Zahid Badroodien has renewed a call for conservative water use.
“I do want to continue to appeal to our residents. Please make small, impactful changes in terms of your water usage in your homes so that together we can save as much water as possible in our dams as we wait for the rains to come.”
