Mpumalanga-based TS Galaxy makes it to Nedbank Cup final | Mpumalanga News

The Rockets have reached the Nedbank Cup final following a semi-final penalty shoot-out triumph over Milford FC at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Sunday, April 5.

Milford took an early lead when Siphosethu Ndlabi scored in the 11th minute.

In the second half, TS Galaxy came back strongly, dominating the play and equalising through Victor Letsoalo 10 minutes in.

Both teams struggled to find a winner in extra time, leaving the score tied at 1-1 and forcing a penalty shoot-out. TS Galaxy won 4-3 in the kicks.

This victory comes after TS Galaxy’s 6-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates at Mbombela Stadium in a Premier Soccer League match just before the FIFA break.

TS Galaxy will now face Durban City in the final, with the winner earning a spot in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
