Karabo Motaung scores big for Eastern Gauteng U19s | Krugersdorp News

Krugersdorp High School (KHS) matric learner Karabo Motaung represented the Eastern Gauteng U19 women’s team in both the sixes and sevens categories at the Inter Provincial Netball Tournament, earning a Player of the Match award for her outstanding performance.

The tournament was held at the Eastern Gauteng Action Netball Centre.

According to KHS marketer Lauren Coetsee, this fast-paced seven-a-side game is ideal for satisfying both social and competitive drives while bringing a team together. It is suitable for men and women to play on the same team, and more often than not, it is the women who end up celebrating their victories.

Karabo has been one of KHS’s standout players in netball. Last year, she was selected for the U19 mixed indoor netball team to represent South Africa at the World Indoor Netball Association Super World Cup in August.

She has also been chosen to represent the West Rand U21A Netball team, which competed in the SPAR National Netball Championships in November.

Additionally, she was among the top 35 netball players in the country considered for selection to the U16 National Netball team in 2024, following a successful season showcasing her talent and skills on the court.
