DigiPlus Interactive Corp. has received licenses to operate from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB) in South Africa. This paves the way for DigiPlus’ entry into South Africa, the online gaming market on the continent, which is estimated to have generated $4.9 billion in gaming revenues in 2025.
DigiPlus has received approval from the WCGRB for its application for three operator licenses: a National Manufacturer License, a Bookmaker License, and a Bookmaker Premises License. The WCGRB holds jurisdiction over the province of Western Cape, which is the online gaming market in South Africa and accounted for approximately 31% of national online gaming revenues in 2025. Western Cape is also a top destination for international operators like DigiPlus due to its transparent regulatory processes and digital readiness.
South Africa is set to be DigiPlus’ second international market after the Company’s entry into Brazil. Brazil targets to start full commercial operations within the first half of 2026.
