KaBokweni Stadium was electric over the weekend as Dankie Son FC faced Sibange Young Bucks FC, but fans were left wanting more as the ABC Motsepe League match ended in a 0-0 stalemate on Saturday, March 14.

The action was slow-paced but the tension reached a peak in the second half when Sibange Young Bucks thought they’d scored, only for the linesman to rule it offside, sending the crowd into mixed reactions.

Despite the disappointing result, Dankie Son FC head coach Suprice Khoza praised his team’s performance. “I am really proud of my team. Both the young and senior players gave their all. They tried everything to win, but luck wasn’t on our side,” said Khoza.

Sibange Young Bucks coach Petrus Chauke described the match as balanced. “We tried to match our opponents, but couldn’t score. Still, a point is better than nothing,” he said.

Currently, Dankie Son FC occupies eighth position on the ABC Motsepe League Stream B log, while Sibange Young Bucks FC occupies position seven.
