Investigation launched into fire at Botha Sigcau building in Eastern Cape

Police in the Eastern Cape have launched an investigation following a fire at the Botha Sigcau building in the OR Tambo District Municipality.

Late on Tuesday, emergency officials rushed to the scene to find the 11-storey building engulfed in fire. The building also houses several government departments. 

According to the OR Tambo District Municipality, the cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
