Western Cape police launch manhunt after Milnerton murders

CAPE TOWN – Police in the Western Cape have launched a manhunt after the murder of six people in Milnerton, killed only a day apart.

In the latest incident, on Monday, two men and a woman were shot dead at Ekuphumleni informal settlement in Du Noon.

Reports from the scene indicate that the three were shot in front of a shack by unidentified gunmen who later fled the scene.

On Saturday, three other people were killed in the Joe Slovo informal settlement also in the Milnerton area.

Two of the deceased were found inside a bullet riddled Totoya Avanza, while a third body was found a few metres away from the vehicle.

The motive for both killings is unknown.
