Nokwanda Prettygirl Msomi is 20 years old. She runs Prettygirl Integrated Farm in Delmas, Mpumalanga.
Her farming journey started in 2021. She had no registered company and little capital. Nokwanda sold meat door to door to raise money and learn what customers needed.
She studied animal health, livestock production and layer house management. She completed her agricultural qualifications in 2024 and 2025. After that, she registered Prettygirl Integrated Farm as a business.
The registration allowed her to scale up and operate as a compliant, professional business.
Her customers now include individual households, small local businesses and retail outlets in the Delmas agricultural hub.

Farming is not a side hustle for Nokwanda. It is her full time career.
She used savings from her early sales to start the business. Her family also gave money because they believed in her plan.
Nokwanda runs the operation on her own.
The business has given her financial independence. It also gives her security in an economy where jobs are hard to find.
Her long term goal is to grow the farm into a large integrated enterprise. She wants to set up a manufacturing and processing plant to add value to her products and control the full supply chain.
Nokwanda says food farming has clear advantages. People always need food. The business can create immediate jobs in her community.
She wants to be a strong voice for young women in agriculture.
Her advice is to start with what you have, gain skills, manage money carefully and not fear hard work at the beginning.
