Makhadzi lights up Limpopo at Armed Forces Day, her first show since accident

Fans are rejoicing following Makhadzi’s return to performing.

The singer, known for her high-tempo choreography, performed for the first time in 2026 during the Armed Forces Day celebrations at a stadium in Thohoyandou, Limpopo.

The “Ghanama” hitmaker took to Instagram to share a video celebrating her full recovery.

In her post, she expressed her gratitude, saying, “Yesterday was my first day at work. All thanks to @sa_national_defense_force for bringing my people together in a stadium that I have been dreaming of filling up. Thank you to all my fans for supporting me.”

In the video, Makhadzi is full of life, dancing energetically as an ecstatic crowd cheers her on.

Fans took to social media to express their excitement about her return.

Somizi commented, “Your stage presence is unmatched.”

Makhadzi’s journey to recovery has been inspiring.

She was involved in a car accident on the morning of December 31, 2025, while travelling from Limpopo to Johannesburg.

Following the accident, the Limpopo-born artist underwent surgery and was advised to take a break from performing for ten weeks to focus on her recovery.

Determined not to let her injury hinder her creativity, Makhadzi surprised fans by releasing new music during her recovery.

The “Matorokisi” singer launched her latest track, “Operations,” featuring Mr Brown and TS Man, on January 16.

On February 16, Makhadzi took to Instagram once again to share the good news that she had fully recovered from her injuries and was cleared to return to work.
