Authorities are urging communities in parts of KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape to stay vigilant after severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for Sunday.
The South African Weather Service has issued a Level 5 warning for KZN, with expected heavy rainfall over 50mm, large hail, and strong winds.
In the Eastern Cape, the OR Tambo District is under a Level 4 warning, affecting areas like Mthatha and Mganduli.
Forecasters warn residents in these areas to stay alert for flash flooding, infrastructure damage, and dangerous lightning.
