The South African Weather Services (SAWS) has warned of a 60% chance of rain for Gauteng, North West, Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
Yellow Level 4 and yellow Level 2 warnings for severe thunderstorms have been issued by the service in the provinces.
The rains are expected to cause localised flooding and damaging winds.
On Sunday, the persisting floods in the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) province swept away three people, with one body recovered on Monday.
Search and rescue teams will resume their search on Tuesday in the Hanover area in the uMshwathi Local Municipality.
Forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela is urging the public to stay safe during this time.
“Otherwise, it is a yellow Level 2 warning of severe thunderstorms over Gauteng, the southern parts of Limpopo, as well as the extreme eastern parts of the Free State, just east of Bethlehem, into the afternoon for Tuesday, the 25th of November 2025.”
