The South African Weather Service (SAWS) said the wet weather conditions experienced in recent days have now significantly subsided.
The service said the system that brought widespread rain has now moved out of the country and little to no rainfall is expected for Tuesday.
Forecaster Tokelo Chiloane said residents in the northern parts of the country, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Vryburg and Ermelo, could expect a 30% chance of thundershowers on Tuesday.
She added that no extreme weather alerts were anticipated, as temperatures will begin to recover later in the week.
“Going forward into the week, no significant weather is expected, especially over the north-eastern parts of the country, including Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West, and you can also include the Free State province.”
