The SA SA swimming championships SA Schools brought swimming with an action-packed youth, organized by the Free State Province in the Stadium swimming pool, Bloemfontein, from 5 to 7 April.

This prestigious event brought together the best swimmers of school -going age from all over the country, with all nine provinces represented in a lively representation of athletic excellence.

A cooperation effort between the Department of Basic Education and the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, the event, attended by countless MECs and provincial department heads, showed the importance of school sports in the development of future champions.
The championship contained top swimmers aged 12 to 18, with warmth and finals that were held daily. Only the top two swimmers per province go from the heats to the final, ensuring a high level of competition.

The para -swimming events were proudly recorded, with athletes aged 12-19 who competed in Multiclass Handicap events -guarantee a celebration of inclusiveness and talent and a reasonable and level playing field. Drug Free Sport (Saids) was on site during the event on site to maintain clean sports standards.

The young swimmers continued, which proves their resilience and determination, despite extreme rain showers, mild floods and a few lightning institutions.

This championship is steeped in Legacy, with earlier participants such as Pieter Coetze, Karin Prinsloo, Dune Coetzee and Christopher Reid – all Olympians – who hold SA -Scholen records.

Isabeau Coetsee van West -Kaap played in the Junior Victrix Ludorum with amazing results in both individual and team matches. In the individual events, Coetsee fell six medals, five gold and one silver. In the relay they created four medals, two silver, one bronze and one gold.
