28 more zama zamas emerge at Sheba mine shaft

BARBERTON – At least 28 more illegal miners have surfaced overnight at the Sheba mine shaft in Mpumalanga.

The group is part of an estimated 1000 zama zamas operating at the shaft.

Authorities continue to monitor illegal mining activities at the shaft.

Other resurfaced miners appeared before the Barberton Magistrate’s Court on Monday while others are yet to appear.
