Mpumalanga govt slammed for forking out R244m to upgrade matric tablets as warranty expires

The Mpumalanga education department forked out R244.5 million in May for 60 000 new tablets for Grade 12 pupils in the most disadvantaged schools because the three-year warranty on 64 012 tablets and 6 700 laptops bought for R535 million in 2022 had expired.
