Malema pays tribute to Mabuza and calls for Mchunu’s dismissal

MBOMBELA – Thousands of mourners are expected to gather in Mbombela for the funeral of former Deputy President David Mabuza, who passed away on the 3rd of this month after experiencing breathing difficulties.

EFF leader Julius Malema was among those who came to pay their respects. He described Mabuza as a “man of the people”, especially in Mpumalanga, and praised his tactical political style.

“He was a good comrade very tactical. You wouldn’t easily understand his moves. He played his cards close to his chest but was able to engage with different sides” Malema said.

Malema also used the moment to comment on the political interference allegations raised by KZN Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, calling on President Cyril Ramaphosa to immediately fire Police Minister Senzo Mchunu.
